Controller
Ardenescape is an initiative of Sebois. The operator’s full legal name, enterprise number, business address still need confirmation and publication. For contact, privacy and complaints, email seboisardennes@gmail.com.
Data you provide
Accounts use your name, email and login information. Optional profile fields include phone, language, photo, bio and spoken languages. Listings contain the stay information and photos you provide. Requests may contain name, email, phone, travel dates, guest count, message and Nature Spot vehicle type. Conversations, favourites and saved plans are stored when used.
Purposes and grounds
Accounts, publication, requests and messages deliver the service you request. Optional visit statistics require permission. Security, abuse prevention and dispute handling protect users and the platform. The operator must still formally document each lawful basis and any necessary interest balancing. Analytics permission does not authorise every other use.
Public data and recipients
Published listings, selected public profile details and reviews can be read by anyone and indexed by search engines. Login email and private messages are not intended for publication. The relevant host receives your request details; conversations are available to participants and authorised administrators where necessary. Website, login and email providers process data for the service. Do not supply sensitive or other people’s data without a valid reason.
Reviews and location
Reviews may publish your name, rating and text. An invitation relates to an accepted request and recorded stay dates, not an independently proven overnight stay. Keep invitation links private: anyone holding one can open the invitation. Maps use approximate stay positions. Do not reveal private addresses in public text or photos. Nature Spot contact and permit notes are stored separately for the host and management.
Optional statistics
With permission we use a random tab-session code and record page, device, browser/operating system, traffic source and, where available, country/city. The measurement table does not store raw IP addresses or full browser identification strings; infrastructure still processes technical request data. The code is not linked to your inquiry. Hosts see totals for their own stays, not reliable request conversion. Withdrawal stops new measurements, not automatic deletion of past ones.
External services and AI
OpenFreeMap and Google Maps where available, AWS terrain and Google Fonts may receive your IP address and browser information through direct requests. Management may send listing text and stay information to Lovable AI for checking or draft translations. Intended inputs do not contain request history, but text itself may include personal data. AI is not a permit check or an independent publication decision. Suppliers, retention and transfers outside the EEA remain to be verified; exclusively European processing is not guaranteed.
Retention
Complete retention and deletion schedules for accounts, listings, requests, messages, reviews, security logs and backups have not yet been established. This outstanding issue does not justify unlimited retention. At the next valid measurement, rows older than 400 days are removed and cities older than 30 days cleared. Without another measurement, this cleanup is not guaranteed.
Deletion and your rights
The account button deletes your login account and profile, not necessarily all requests, messages, listings, photos, supplier copies or backups. A complete erasure procedure remains outstanding. Depending on processing, rights include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Withdraw statistics permission in the cookie policy. Rights requests normally require a response within one month; lawful exceptions and extensions must be explained. Send privacy questions and rights requests to seboisardennes@gmail.com.
Complaints
You may complain directly to the Belgian Data Protection Authority without a mandatory internal procedure first. See autoriteprotectiondonnees.be for the current process.
